1st Stop – Ipanema Beach, where passengers will have 1 hour at Leisure to soak up the authentic Carnival atmosphere, walk the promenade, sit by a Kiosk for drinks and snacks, people watch, or swim in the ocean. The beachfront avenue is closed to traffic, and it becomes a huge boulevard, with parties all over and people wearing costumes celebrating the biggest Brazilian Holiday. It´ll be an unforgettable experience!
Ipanema is a 2km (1.25 miles) long beach, and it´s definitely one of Rio´s most sophisticated and upscale neighborhoods. Ipanema is divided into 3 areas: Arpoador (north end), Ipanema, and Leblon (south end). The beachfront properties have the most expensive Square Foot in Rio and Brazil.
The tour will continue to Copacabana Beach, which, during the holiday, is also closed for traffic and is where a big part of the Carnival action takes place—known for its 4 km (2.5 miles) beach, which is one of the most famous in the world and stretches from Posto Um (lifeguard watchtower One) in Leme Beach to Posto Seis (lifeguard watchtower Six).
Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches are definitely the places everyone wants to hang out during the Holiday, as there will be street parties all over the place. You can sit by a kiosk for refreshments and people watch, walk the promenade, and even dive in the ocean. Make sure to bring your bathing suit. The visit will last approx. 1 hour.
The tour will continue to our Welcome BBQ Lunch at Fogo de Chão Botafogo, one of the best Steakhouses in Brazil. It´s a beautiful restaurant in Botafogo Cove, with a fantastic view of Sugarloaf Mountain and the waterway—a phenomenal Salad Bar with a vast variety of veggies and cold and hot dishes. The charcoal-grilled roasted meat keeps coming until you say no, and you should definitely save space for the Argentinian cuts, such as Ancho and Chorizo, and the Brazilian cut called Picanha. This genuine Brazilian Lunch experience will last approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

After Lunch, the tour will continue to the Sugar Loaf Mountains, where passengers will ride the World Famous Cable Cars (Fast-Pass Included on both ways), in two steps all the way to the top of the Urca Hill, 215 meters high, which already grants beautiful views of Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niterói Bridge, Niterói Beaches and the Corcovado Mountain. The visit will last approx 1 hour and a half.
Last Stop: Selaron Stairways – Located on an unassuming backstreet of Old Downtown Rio, a few blocks from Cinelandia metro station, tucked away behind bars, restaurants, and homes, lies the unexpected explosion of color and creativity known as the Selaron Stairs (or Escadaria Selaron in Portuguese). This fanciful creation sprung directly from the imagination of Chilean Jorge Selaron as a “tribute to the Brazilian people,” in the artist’s words.

04Mar25 – Tuesday – 8:20am Pick Up – Half-Day 04 Hour Tour

1st Stop – Christ Statue – Pre-scheduled Train Tickets – No lines to go Up the Hill. Ride the Iconic Train to the top of Corcovado Hill. The visit will last approx 2 hours. During Carnival, please expect big lines for the Return Train ride that unfortunately cannot be prescheduled (only going up). It´s crucial all passengers are together in the line so they can all catch the same return train. Otherwise, it will cause an inconvenient delay.
After the Christ visitation, the Tour will continue to a Street Party called Bagunça meu Coreto, located at the São Salvador Square in the gorgeous residential neighborhood of Laranjeiras. It is a small neighborhood family-oriented Street Party for all ages in a lovely area most tourists don´t get to visit. Party with Locals for approximately 1 hour.

Return to the Port around 12:15pm
Very Important! The 2-Day Tour was designed for passengers watching the Carnival Parade on Tuesday Night. Tuesday Early Tour Pick Up, so you can rest the entire afternoon and save all your energy for the Carnival Parade, which will start at 9:30pm and will finish around 5am. No Tour is scheduled for Wednesday, so you can recover from the very long evening. Carnival Parade Tickets and transfers are not included in the 2-Day Tour, and DoBrazilRight will be glad to assist you with the best options!
06Mar25 – Thursday – 9:30am Pick Up – Half-Day 06 Hour Tour

1st Stop – Grumari Beach – Ecological Reserve – After a one-hour drive, the group arrives at this hidden gem, considered the best beach in Rio by many. It is a secluded, sometimes deserted, untouched, and protected beach. At Grumari, the group will have approximately 3 hours to enjoy the lushness of a beach inside an ecological reserve, with green all around, clear waters, and fine white sands. There are no residential buildings, no constructions around, only the Rain Forest, a few Kiosks, and a Beach Club, where the Group will have a very comfortable Lounge Area reserved during the entire stay.
At Clássico Beach Club Grumari, The service is excellent, the food is tasty, the facilities are clean, the views are stunning, and the ambiance and vibe are perfect for a relaxing beach day. After a Gorgeous Panoramic Ride, the Tour will have its 2nd stop at Barra da Tijuca Beach. While tourists tend to stick to the south zone of Rio de Janeiro (Copacabana, Ipanema, and Leblon), Barra da Tijuca (often shortened to Barra) is a neighborhood in the west zone of Rio that stands out for its incredible assortment of leisure options, stunning beaches, and contemporary style. Barra da Tijuca is one of Brazil’s most developed neighboring cities, with one of the highest Human Development Indexes (HDI). Unlike the South Zone and Rio’s Downtown, Barra da Tijuca, built only 40 years ago, follows Modernist standards, with enormous boulevards creating the central transit axis. The area’s master plan was designed by Lúcio Costa, known for his work on Brasília and Oscar Niemeyer. He made a region filled with many gardens, shopping malls, apartment buildings, and large mansions. The visit will last approx. 15 minutes.
3rd and final Stop – São Conrado (Pepino Beach) – This beautiful and serene beach is located in the affluent neighborhood of São Conrado in the southern zone of Rio. The area is known for its diverse social classes—it’s home to many Brazilian Celebrities, luxury buildings and expensive mansions, and Rocinha, the largest favela in Latin America. São Conrado is also famous for its beach, a popular landing spot for hang gliders and paragliders. Additionally, it boasts natural attractions such as Pedra da Gávea and Pedra Bonita Mountains. The visit will last approximately 25 minutes.

In such a situation, we assure you that all tours will be rescheduled according to the new times at the Port(s), and our Guides and Vehicles will deliver the service(s). However, please note that full refunds cannot be issued in case of schedule changes that are completely out of our control within less than 19 days of the tour date. We start working on these groups most of the time a year in advance, and to guarantee the best vehicles and tour guides, especially on Cruise Ship dates and Carnival, the busiest of the year, non-refundable prepayments and deposits are required by our tour providers and Guides. Very Important!!!
The tour might suffer some adjustments because of the Christ Statue Train Tickets, which during Cruise Ship Days, are not always available for the day/time we have previously scheduled for the Tour. We might even need to switch and have all passengers going to Christ in the Afternoon or the day before. For any adjustments, passengers will definitely be notified via email.
