25Nov24 – Monday8:50am Pick Up7-Hour Tour – Old Rio

1st Stop – Sugarloaf Mountains – From Praia Vermelha, the visitants take the first tram links to the Urca hill, and from there, a second tram takes them to the top of the Sugar Loaf hill, 396 meters above sea level. Inaugurated in 1912, the little tram of the Sugarloaf was the first Brazilian cable car and the third in the world, linking the Urca hill to the Sugarloaf mountain. The peak of the two mountains reveals the gorgeous landscapes of the city, including Botafogo Bay, Copacabana Beach, and the entrance of Guanabara Bay. The visit will last approx.2 hours.

2nd Stop – Lunch @ the Iconic Confeitaria Colombo included – Confeitaria Colombo in Rio de Janeiro is not only a landmark of the wonderful city, but also one of the most beautiful cafes in the world, besides Cafe Central in Vienna, Cafe de la Paix, in Paris, or Caffe Greco, in Rome. Founded in 1894, Confeitaria Colombo soon became an essential part of Rio de Janeiro’s colonial lifestyle. In 1912 the interiors were renovated with art nouveau elements. In 1922, the Cafe expanded with a second floor, whose large opening allows the ceiling, decorated with stained glass, to be visible from the ground floor.
Confeitaria Colombo’s opulent interior resembles grand European cafes, with marble-topped tables, carved wooden furniture, and large crystal mirrors brought from Belgium, France, and Portugal. It was the place to be in the 20th century, the meeting point for upper-class people, writers, artists, and state personalities. Many afternoon teas, aristocratic balls, or other cultural events were brought together here in Rio de Janeiro’s glamorous early 20th-century elite. Lunch will last approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes. Beverages & Desserts are not included.
Confeitaria Colombo´s website –
Tour will continue to Selaron Stairways – Located on an unassuming backstreet of Rio de Janeiro, a few blocks from Cinelandia metro station, tucked away behind bars, restaurants, and homes, lies the unexpected explosion of color and creativity known as the Selaron Stairs (or Escadaria Selaron in Portuguese). This fanciful creation sprung directly from the imagination of Chilean Jorge Selaron, as a “tribute to the Brazilian people” in the words of the artist. The visit will last approx. 25 minutes.

4th Stop –
Cinelandia Square – One of the most important squares in the city. It doesn’t have the same fame anymore as it had a hundred years ago when it was called the Broadway of Rio, but historically it has had a great impact on the development of the city. In the colonial period, the square was simply the area that housed the “Ajuda Convent” built for women in 1750. The most significant buildings in the area that remain in the square today are the Teatro Municipal (Municipal Theater), Biblioteca Nacional (Brazilian National Library), Palacio Pedro Ernesto (City Hall), Tribunal Superior (Higher Court), and the nearby Museu Nacional de Bela Artes (The National Museum of Fine Arts). Most of the buildings’ façades and interiors reflect the French Beaux-Arts architectural style, a design that was considered symbolic of Rio de Janeiro’s modernization. The visit will last approx. 15 minutes.

5th Stop – Copacabana Beach – Brazil´s most famous beach, Copacabana is located in the heart of the luxurious Zona Sul (South Zone) neighborhood. The beach is marked by Postos, or lifeguard stands, that offer changing rooms and restrooms for a small fee. Copacabana’s 2.5-mile stretch of sand runs from Posto 1 to Posto 6, where you’ll find a peninsula that houses the Historical Museum of the Army and the Copacabana Fortress.
Brimming with authentic eats, lavish accommodations, and the beautiful Avenida Atlantica sideway made of mosaic tiles, Copacabana Beach boasts much more than powdery sands. There will be plenty of time to walk the boardwalk, seat by a Kiosk for refreshments and people-watch, and even dive in the ocean (don´t forget your bathing suits)! Passengers will have approx. 50 minutes at Leisure.
Return to the Port at 3:40pm

26Nov24 – Tuesday 8:20am Pick Up – 7-Hour Tour – Modern Rio.

1st Stop – Christ Statue – The magnificent art deco statue located on top of Corcovado Hill, 709 meters above sea level, in the Tijuca National Park, overlooking most of Rio de Janeiro, granting the most beautiful views of the city. In 2007, it was informally selected as one of the seven wonders of the modern world. Pre-Scheduled Train Tickets going up the Hill. Skip the line! The visit will last approx. 2 hours.
All passengers must be together in the line so they can all catch the same return train, otherwise, it will cause an inconvenient delay.
2nd Stop – São Conrado (Pepino Beach) with a Panoramic Ride through Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon. Our second stop on the tour will be at Praia do Pepino in São Conrado. This beautiful and serene beach is located in the affluent neighborhood of São Conrado in the southern zone of Rio. The area is known for its diverse social classes – it’s home to luxury buildings and expensive mansions, but also to Rocinha, the largest favela in Latin America. São Conrado is also famous for its beach, which is a popular spot for hang gliders and paragliders to land. Additionally, it boasts natural attractions such as Pedra da Gávea and Pedra Bonita Mountains.  The Stop will last approx. 25 minutes.

3rd Stop – Ipanema Beach – Its sands mark the history of Bossa Nova music. Ipanema is among the favorite beaches of Cariocas for its charm and relaxation, world-renowned for the song “Girl from Ipanema”, by Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Morais. The beach is a meeting point for young residents and enchanted tourists and it stretches from Posto 7 in Arpoador until Posto 12 in Leblon.
Ipanema has one of the most upscale neighborhoods in Brazil and South America, and it´s a lot more modern and contemporary than its neighbor Copacabana. The beach is used for the practice of various sports, in addition to being the stage for outdoor concerts. Cariocas and tourists usually sit on its sands, in the late afternoon, to chat and applaud the magnificent sunset. There are many beach kiosks serving snacks and refreshments and there will be plenty of time to walk the boardwalk or even dive in the ocean. Passengers will have approx. 1 hour at Leisure.

4th Stop –
Fogo de Chão Botafogo, is one of the best Steakhouses in Brazil. It´s a beautiful restaurant located in Botafogo Cove, with an amazing view of Sugarloaf Mountain and the waterway. Phenomenal Salad Bar with such a huge variety of veggies, cold and hot dishes. The charcoal grill roasted meat keeps coming until you say no, and you should definitely save space for the Argentinian cuts such as Chorizo and Ancho beef, and the Brazilian Picanha. This genuine Brazilian Lunch experience will have a duration of approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Fogo de Chão BBQ Lunch includes:
Starters of cheese bread, crispy polenta, Brazilian Empanadas and sliced sausages
Salads & Hot Dishes Buffet  with more than 40 items –
Side dishes served on the table –
